Tracee is pure beauty! I met her and did my first yoga class at the Marianne Williamson retreat last weekend. The energy that she oozes is just delectable and inspiring and loving. What a blessing to meet her. I can't wait to start using the Intro to Yoga download. Thank you Tracee! Judith Coker

Welcome

Welcome to Spiritual Living in the Material World. This is a subject that has long been on my mind, so here I am blogging-- something I thought I'd never have time to do-- to open a dialogue, share my experiences and create community around a topic that I believe is the source of a lack of fulfillment in many of our lives.
How do we balance the desire to live a rich spiritual life with the desire to have financial freedom and enjoy worldly success? Aren't these two things counter intuitive?
If I am a truly spiritual person shouldn't I give up all desire for worldly possessions and outward success? If I am working constantly to propel my career or business forward when do I have time to delve into spiritual endeavors? How can I maintain balance when most of my thoughts are consumed with achieving an outward goal. Am I falling off of my path because those cute shoes keep popping up in meditation? Am I really detached from my material possessions? I happily spend all of my time healing and teaching others, but I am constantly struggling to make ends meet and have no time for my own practice. Maybe I should go back to my corporate job.
These are questions that we are sure to ask ourselves at one time or another as we progress down our path of self discovery. I look forward to walking beside you as I share my journey into finding and maintaining balance and inspiring others to find what works for them. I invite you to join me in the adventure of seeking freedom in the world not from the world and finding harmonious balance.
